In Bali, Kedungu beach offers different break points perfect for beginners and intermediate surf lessons.
I started to surf at 10 years old and at 19 years old I decided to become a surf teacher in my home surf spot : Kedungu Beach, Bali. I got my balawista ( life guard certificate ) and an ISA ( International Surf Association ) surf teacher certificate . I’ve been working freelance as Seasoul Surf Bali since 2016, I’m also a surf teacher resident at Kedungu Surf School, and I’m teaching all surf levels , however I really enjoy surfing lessons with kids and beginners .
As I put safety as my rule #1, we have to surf Kedungu spot at mid tide to avoid strong current or lack of water. So being on time is necessary. We’ll also warming up and have a quick brief on the sand. If you don’t have lycra, you can borrow one of my Seasoul Swimwear collection (made from recycled plastic bottles – UV proof).
I take maximum 2 persons for a lesson. For safety , I do not bring more than 2 customers alone, but no worries , for groups , some of my friends are always willing to join and help me to keep you safe in the waves !
